10 out of 1200: Green City passes the green electricity test!
As of this month, Green City can count itself among the few green energy providers that the environmental organisation Robin Wood considers recommendable. According to the organisation’s latest green electricity report, only ten of the 1200 tested suppliers sell actual clean electricity from renewable sources. Green City passes the test!
For the ranking, Robin Wood examines 1200 electricity providers and evaluates which tariffs actually make a contribution to climate and environmental protection. The criteria in this test were the following: the electricity comes from renewable energy sources only, the supplier acts independently of the nuclear and coal industry and is promoting the expansion of renewable energies. Green City meets all these criteria: Our green electricity comes from existing hydropower plants and newly built Green City wind farms.
“We are delighted to receive this award and see it as recognition of our many years of pioneering work in the field of electricity,” says Michael Renninger from Green City Power, about the assessment, “Since 2017, we have been selling green electricity from 100% renewable energy sources.“
