Green City commissions tenth Italian hydropower plant
After about a year of construction, the hydropower plant “Orsolina” has now been put into operation. This means that the tenth Green City hydropower plant in Italy is now connected to the grid. The Pelton turbine of the power plant is supplied by an underground pressure pipeline. The rated output of the power plant is around 1,800 kW, which means that around 1600 households can be supplied with green electricity by hydropower. The complex is located in the northeastern Italian municipality of Borca di Cadore in the province of Belluno.
