Green City connects another Italian hydropower plant to the grid

Following the successful commissioning of the Orsolina hydropower plant, another Italian Green City hydropower plant is now connected to the grid: After only about nine months of construction, the Biois hydropower plant is now also supplying green electricity. The water flow rate is 2,100 l/s. Like Orsolina, the complex is also located in northeastern Italy, near Cortina d’Ampezzo in the province of Belluno. There, the power plant with its two snail-shaped Francis turbines and an installed capacity of 699 kW now supplies numerous households.
